Eligibility

To qualify, students must attend one of the following high schools/program:

  • Andrew P. Hill High School
  • Aptos High School
  • Harbor High School
  • Milpitas High School
  • Mt. Pleasant High School
  • Oak Grove High School
  • Silver Creek High School
  • W.C. Overfelt High School
  • CCOC
  • ROP

In addition, students must plan to complete a career-focused associates or certificate program at Cabrillo College, Evergreen Valley College, or San Jose City College with the goal of obtaining employment in their chosen field upon graduation. (This scholarship is not for students planning to transfer to a bachelor's program/four-year institution.) In addition, students must have a 2.5 cumulative GPA. Students with a GPA of between 2.0 and 2.5 may be considered to be eligible for the program if their academic track record, activities and work experience provide sufficient evidence of potential to succeed in their chosen field. To stay eligible for the scholarship during their college study, students must stay in their career program, participate in Grove Scholars events and program offerings, take a full course load, and maintain at least a minimum 2.5 GPA.
